This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I got quite the uplifting surprise today. Normally if I dont like a piece of artwork another person posts, I say so along with how I think it could/should have been done or changed.
Never, and I repeat: NEVER have I ever had someone thank me for my constructive criticism. But now thanks to one of my favourite artists here on DA, I can say that I have made a small step towards accomplishment.
I was once told by a respected art teacher that to be accepted as an artist you must be able to create, but also to be able to give and recieve criticism with poise and grace. Never be too prideful of your own artwork, she said, each individual person has his or her own taste and so some people may hate one piece of artwork, while many others love it.
I try my hardest to live by those words...in every aspect of my life. Without others' criticism, we can never aspire to be anything more than what we are. Potential is limitless when we are open to the thoughts and feelings of other people.
So, with that said-do not be shallow, give honest opinions, and if your opinion happens to emulate other people's opinions-make yours the one that will be remembered.
